For those of you that don't know Beau has been driving a little purple Metro for about 16 months that she bought for a few hundred dollars. She loved this car for the tremendous gas savings having put 45k miles since owning it. She affectionately called it "Barney". Yesterday while driving in rush hour traffic, everyone came to a sudden stop and Barney was not sudden enough! Fortunately Beau did not sustain permanent injury, just air bag burns and contusions. As you can see Barney was not as lucky...as usual, Derek came to the rescue! He was just a few miles behind in the traffic and was his usual calming force amid the chaos!
We're grateful that no one was seriously injured but Barney will be missed!!!

You are so lucky not to have been hurt more. That little photo on Facebook did not do Barney justice. Hope that you heal quickly and completely and that you're on the road to another 45K soon!!
